The Dead Come to Life: Dance of the Dead

It is prom night and a big party is planned but the dead have other thoughts. A nuclear spill causes all the dead bodies to become reanimated. Once they do so, prom night will never be the same for the students from Cosa High. The zombies munch on the living and take over. This is an independent film that uses a small budget with big ideas to pull the movie together. It has big plans in the plot and executing of the story.

This movie is an installment of the Masters of Horror series and was adapted from a short story of the same name. This movie has an R rating but is still quite popular with the younger crowd age 14 to 17 years old. This movie was approved by Lionsgate to go straight to DVD only. Some people are upset by that while other people think it was a wise move.

This movie involves a great number of stunts and required 800 gallons of fake blood to pull it together. It was done on a shoe string initial budget of $15,000. This movie was begun over 10 years ago and was brought about with the residual income from other short independent films between the two producers of the film. Originality was key in this movie. That is something difficult to do when zombies themes have appeared in some many movies before, but Dance of the Dead keeps viewers on their toes.
